Who We Are
Our History:
Trimble After School Care Society was established in the West Point Grey area at Queen Mary Elementary School in 1974, by a small group of concerned parents who required after school care for their children. It began in a classroom on the third floor of the primary building with approximately 12 children enrolled at the centre at that time. In 1987, the centre was moved to the lunchroom in the intermediate building. As a result of the additional space available to the society, a license for 30 children was granted to TASC. As the centre grew, the Board of Directors decided it was best to acquire a full-time administrator, and in August 1988 a supervisor was hired. Since that time the centre’s enrollment has climbed to 50 children. In 2015, Queen Mary Elementary underwent seismic upgrades and TASC moved into a new beautiful space in 2016. You can find us in the multipurpose room located on the east side of the school.
